I’ve been making these sets of leather wing earrings for a store in California. I’ve never worn earrings myself, but have been loving a pair of these recently. They are weightless!
Shown here dangling from a bleached peacock feather - which is gorgeous, if you’ve never seen one.
This particular project became a textured and bright pillow. Perfect for a colorful house, or a kid’s room.
When stitched across the loops stretched and moved — this reminded me of making marbled paper, and how the shapes of color bend and turn when you drag the comb through the water.
I can’t resist snatching up pot holder loops at the thrift store. I never know what I’ll make with them, but know that something will come. My newest treatment involved making them into concentric circles and sewing across the surface.
